Just look to the documentation of FreeBSD and Linux and you confirm the message.

I can’t understand why this is a good reason to prefer *BSD over Linux, by itself.
There are *technical* reasons, too? I’m a happy Linux user, and I’m searching the web for some of them, because I’m curious to know if it worth the time to try and experiment.

This post was just a piece of humor. For me, the FreeBSD preference is quite historical at this point.
I have just been a fan of it for a long time, it is quite perfect for my server needs:

And when I recently tried Ubuntu for my desktop/server PC, it was uncessussful so I continue using FreeBSD:
